TK Family Farm is a family-owned draft horse farm located in Berthoud, Colorado, founded by Taylor and Kristina Portillo. What began as a love for big horses and a desire for a slower pace of life has grown into a place where families, friends, and communities come together to experience something simpler, more meaningful, and truly unforgettable. We welcomed our first draft horse in 2020 and have since grown our herd to seven incredible horses.

We started TK Family Farm with the intention of giving our children more time outdoors, a deeper connection to animals and nature, and — most importantly — the opportunity to grow up creating lasting memories side by side as a family. From early mornings in the barn to wagon rides through town, this farm is where our kids learn responsibility, confidence, and the value of working together.

We believe in hard work, fresh air, strong animals, and creating meaningful moments — whether that’s a quiet wagon ride, a special event shared with the community, or the magic of a child meeting a draft horse for the very first time.
